Aggressive Public Affairs Program: <br /> The ABA has been instrumental in the development of articles and programs in <br /> FORBES magazine, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, USA TODAY, BOYS LIFE. <br /> RACING FOR KIDS, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, The Children's <br /> Television Workshop, ESPN,NICKLEODIAN, PRIME SPORTS NETWORK, <br /> and various other television programs as well as numerous local papers. <br /> • <br /> 7. Discounts: <br /> The ABA offers many supplies and equipment to the track operator at ABA cost <br /> prices. Many paperwork supplies are made available at no charge to the operator. <br /> 8. Double Points: <br /> All tracks shall receive at least one double point race.That race shall be a <br /> designated State Qualifier. The State Qualifier leads the riders to the State <br /> Championships and then to the Race of Champions. Some tracks may earn a <br /> second double points race based on how many new members are enrolled. <br /> 9. Race for Life: <br /> The track also has the option to run the Leukemia"Race for Life", during May or <br /> June which is also a double point race. There is no sanction fee for this race. <br /> ABA supplies all awards to track operator for this day of racing. ABA also <br /> supplies special awards to riders depending on how much money they get <br /> donated. A award is also given to the top track fund raiser. <br /> 10. Track Promotions: <br /> ABA's Regional Directors have a wealth of tried and tested promotional ideas <br /> gathered from existing tracks across the US,as well as new programs provided by <br /> the ABA. These ideas and programs are specifically designed to help promote <br /> BMX tracks while increasing the tracks local membership base. All of this is just <br /> a phone call away. <br /> 11. Communications: <br /> ABA sends numerous mailings to its members,track operators, and manufacturers <br /> keeping them attuned with the latest developments in BMX. Most of these <br /> services are free of charge to the track operator. <br /> 12. $20 Sanction Fee: <br /> This fee pertains only to race days and payment is made after each race is held. <br /> No charge for practice days. Included in this fee are all the aforementioned <br /> services that ABA provides. • <br />
