Work with the School District to reuse facilities no longer needed for public <br /> education. <br /> <br /> 5. Support collaborative solutions for local facility needs. <br /> <br />Community Development <br /> 1. Prioritize the allocation of community resources towards inffll development, <br /> redevelopment of blighted or depressed areas, and revitalization of existing <br /> neighborhoods. <br /> <br /> 2. Promote the creation of a variety of new empl6yment opportunities that allow <br /> people to live and work in Elk River. <br /> <br />Community Image <br /> 1. Utilize the Mississippi River as an attraction and focal point for the downtown <br /> <br /> 2. Adhere to controls for the size and placement of signage and landscaping for <br /> commercial applications within the City limits. <br /> <br /> 3. Establish a common theme for design standards and other infrastructure <br /> improvements to strengthen the character of the Old Town area. <br /> <br /> <br />
