Meeting Notes
April 26,2000
Page 2
1111 The Commission discussed the merits of including a play structure at Woodland
Trails Park and, due to philosophical differences amongst the Commissioners, it
was agreed to revisit this issue at a later meeting.
5. Regional Park Discussion
The Commission returned to City Hall to discuss regional park issues, noted on the
Master Park Plan as area-wide parks. The Commission did not reach a consensus
regarding which parcels they would be interested in for an area-wide park. They
requested additional information from staff to continue the discussion at the May
meeting. It was agreed that at the May meeting, the Commission would spend
1-1/2 to 2 hours reviewing aerial photos, property owner maps and any other
information staff can pull together to assist in making a decision regarding parcels
outside of the urban service district. It was agreed to review the parcels within
the urban service district to identify those parcels yet undivided as to the location
of parks as subdivisions are proposed.
6. Adjournment
Having no further business, the Commission adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
>'r6161A-Wen.,
• Michele McPherson /L.
Director of Planning
•
