City of
Elk - Request for Action
River O.
To Item Number
Mayor and City Council 8.1
Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by
General Business June 2, 2014 Zack Carlton, Planner I
Item Description Reviewed by
Concept Review: River Park Subdivision Re-plat Jeremy Barnhart,Deputy Director, CODD
Reviewed by
Cal Portner, City Administrator
Action Requested
Provide informal, nonbinding feedback on the proposed re-plat of nine townhome lots,48 units, to
approximately 17 single-family lots.
Background/Discussion
The River Park plat was approved in 2005 and included 80 townhome units (configured in 4 and 6 unit
back to back fashions) and 36 single-family lots. To date, 32 townhome units and 23 single family homes
have been constructed. The applicant is proposing to re-plat the remaining nine townhome lots to
accommodate approximately 17 single-family lots.
Planning Commission
The Planning Commission felt that the reduction in density would be less impactful to the neighborhood,
expressed support for the project, and liked seeing development in the area again. They also said they
would be interested to know the comments of the neighborhood. City staff noted a public hearing would
be held if a formal platting application is submitted, and property owners would be notified at that time.
Financial Impact
None
Attachments
■ Planning Commission Packet dated May 27, 2014
P a w E A E U s r
Template Updated 4/14 INIM UREI
