MEETING OF ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD <br /> HELD AT ELK RIVER LIBRARY <br /> TUESDAY,November 12, 2013 <br /> Board Members Present: Nicole Novotny, Jayne Dietz, Mary Eberley, Willie Jackson, Kathleen Tracy <br /> Board Members Absent: None <br /> Others Present: William Iollerich-Library Services Coordinator, Brandi Canter-Patron Services <br /> Supervisor, Mayor John Dietz <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Public Library Board was <br /> called to order at 5:03 p.m. by. Jayne Dietz. <br /> It was determined a quorum was present. <br /> 2. Consider Consent Agenda <br /> Willie Jackson MOVED AND Jayne Dietz SECONDED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS <br /> PRESENTED. <br /> MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> 3. Librarian's Report— William Hollerich, Regional Supervisors Report— Brandi Canter <br /> The Board acknowledged the Librarian's report. <br /> a. Work on heat pump continues <br /> Cost was 24,000 which was lower than expected. <br /> 20,000 was paid for by the city 4,000 was paid for by insurance. <br /> Counts for Maintenance of Effort <br /> b. Shaving of the concrete. <br /> c. New Story Time Debbie Carron: positive feedback <br /> d. Friends of the Library book sale went very well. <br /> e. Staff received training on the digital library and it was successful. <br /> f. Review of special programming that has been offered. <br /> g. Substitute Lisa Patton has resigned. <br /> The Board acknowledged the Regional Supervisors report. <br /> a. Great River Board meeting takes place next week a report will be given in January. <br /> b. Decision on who will be supervising the Elk River Branch is yet to be determined. Currently <br /> St. Cloud, Elk River, Buffalo, Monticello, St. Michael and Little Falls are all covered <br /> by the same supervisor at this time. <br /> 1/21/2014 1 <br />
