Economic Development Authority Minutes Page 5 <br /> January 21,2014 <br /> Mr. Barnhart stated the roundabout would be created to solve current and future <br /> known traffic flow problems and future changes to property entrances would be <br /> considered no matter who purchases the property. <br /> Commissioner Motin stated he wouldn't support the sale of this property to <br /> Morrell's due to the fact that the intended future use was directed towards <br /> commercial and light industrial use. He felt it important to consider the road <br /> infrastructure in this development and the factors which come from the use of semi- <br /> truck traffic in this area. <br /> Commissioner Wilson stated he would prefer to Work with Morrell's and believed <br /> some of the points raised could be addressed in order to retain a long-term business <br /> in the community. <br /> Commissioner Tveite stated he would support selling Morrell's the property in favor <br /> of retaining Morrell's in the community. <br /> Mr. Barnhart appreciated the thoughts of the commission and would report back to <br /> Morrell's. <br /> 7. Other Business <br /> Commissioner Tveite commented on the large amount of positive press and media <br /> coverage as a result of Elk River hosting Hockey Day Minnesota. <br /> 8.
