Economic Development Authority Minutes Page 4 <br /> January 21,2014 <br /> Commissioner Provo expressed concerns with equal and fair requirements for all <br /> businesses that take part in business subsidy agreements, specifically citing his <br /> recollection of Orluck Industries and wondering if comparisons were made to their <br /> agreements,would they be similar. <br /> Commissioner Motin didn't recall the Orluck Industries agreement and <br /> requirements,but noted the requirements in this situation were clearly outlined and <br /> the EDA followed the procedure for enforcing it as outlined in the agreement. <br /> Commissioner Tveite stated he felt this amendment was an equable solution to this <br /> situation. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Motin and seconded by Commissioner Westgaard <br /> to approve the Bank of Elk River Subsidy Amended Business Subsidy <br /> Agreement as outlined in the staff report. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 6.10 Sportech Forgivable Loan Application <br /> Mr. Beeman presented the staff report. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Westgaard and seconded by Commissioner Burandt <br /> to approve the Sportech Forgivable Loan Application as outlined in the staff <br /> report with a public hearing date set for February 3, 2014. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 6.1 I Consider Sale of Lot I, Block 2, Natures Edge Business Center <br /> Mr. Barnhart presented the staff report. He explained specifically for the informal <br /> request by Morrell Trucking Company that the property in question would require <br /> amendments to the zoning ordinance as the property is currently zoned Business <br /> Park. Additionally, the FAST study identified the subject property as "Transit <br /> Center" which would be a departure from the original vision. <br /> Commissioner Burandt was concerned with retaining existing businesses and <br /> allowing them the opportunity to grow their businesses. <br /> Commissioner Provo agreed. He also expressed concerns regarding the proposed <br /> roundabout in the area in question and concerns with the trucking company's use. <br /> Commissioner Westgaard stated the property in question was already platted to <br /> accommodate enough real estate for traffic developments outside of the lot lines of <br /> this lot. <br /> rorIRII It <br /> NATURE <br /> � <br />
