Fertilizer Applications—A slow-release granular fertilizer will be applied three times a season. <br /> This fertilizer will contain nitrogen, potassium, iron, sulfur and micronutrients in the correct <br /> proportions for your Client grounds. The first application will be made as soon as weather <br /> permits. The second application will be made by August 5 and the final application by <br /> September 30 or as weather permits. <br /> 4. Herbicide Applications—One application of pre-emergent herbicide for crab grass control will be <br /> made as weather permits. Two applications of broadleaf herbicide will be made. The first <br /> application will be made prior to June 1, weather permitting, and the second prior to August 30, <br /> weather permitting. <br /> a. Untimely Rainfall—If weed control efforts are hindered by untimely rainfall, respraying <br /> for broadleaf control will be done at no additional cost. <br /> b. Notification on Chemical Applications—The Contractor shall inform the client of chemical <br /> applications in a method to meet or exceed all state and local requirements. <br /> c. Chemical Applicators—For the Client's safety and to meet state requirements, all <br /> chemical applicators will be licensed by the State of Minnesota. <br /> d. Chemicals—Only government EPA approved products will be used. <br /> 5. Lawn Mowing—Lawns will be mowed as necessary to maintain a well-kept appearance. <br /> Contractor to mow once every seven days. The final fall mowing will be at a lower height to help <br /> prepare the turf for winter. <br /> a. Grass Clippings—The Contractor will remove excessive grass <br /> clippings wherever necessary to ensure a neat appearance after mowing. At that time <br /> clippings are to be removed from the site. <br /> b. Nylon Cord Trimming—The Contractor shall trim grasses around foundations, rocks, <br /> displays, lamp poles and other objects every time the lawn is mowed. <br /> c. Blowing of Grass Clippings—Walks, patios and drive surfaces will be blown clean of <br /> grass clippings at the time of mowing. <br /> d.
