DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT <br /> <br />NORTHSTAR CORRIDOR DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 3, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Tim Yantos and Mary Richardson presented a request from MetroBus, St. Cloud Metropolitan <br />Transit Commission (MTC), requesting membership to the Northstar Corridor Development <br />Authority. <br /> <br />A motion was made by McCarron, seconded by Norgren and carried unanimously to approve <br />the recommendation of the Northstar Executive Committee to approve the St. Cloud MTC's <br />request to be a member in the Joint Powers Agreement of the Northstar Corridor Development <br />Authority with Jerry Leese appointed as Member and Tom Cruikshank as Alternate. : <br /> <br />Biz Colburn, informed the Committee that there will be three Open House meetings for the <br />public at the following locations: <br /> <br />September 22, 1998 <br />September 23, 1998 <br />September 24, 1998 <br /> <br />Sherbume County Government Center, Elk River <br />Whitney Senior Community Center, St. Cloud <br />City Hall, Fridley <br /> <br />6:00-9:00 p.m. <br />6:00-9:00 p.m. <br />6:00-8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Members and public were encouraged to attend. All members were urged to notify Stephanie <br />Eiler by Tuesday, September 8, 1998, with the names and addresses of individuals/business who <br />should be sent notices regarding the Open House. <br /> <br />Dick Wolsfeld, BRW, presented an update on following items with the Committee: <br /> <br />a) <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br /> <br />Updated project schedule (dated August 28, 1998) <br />Update on discussions with BNSF <br />Capacity modeling <br />Initial definition of potential capacity improvements <br />Preliminary commuter rail service plan <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Authority to approve the preliminary conceptual service plan- <br />illustrative timetable as presented by BRW with the recommendation that additional trains <br />be available in the a.m. and p.m. from the City of St. Cloud to the City of Minneapolis and <br />return. This preliminary schedule will be made available at the Open House meetings <br />scheduled in September for public feedback. <br /> <br /> <br />
