Discussion was held regarding station locations and the importance of those locations to the
planning process. The following points of analysis are used to determine station locations:

1 -- Impact on travel time
2 -- The potential direct impaci on freight traffic of BNSF
3 -- Local Planning Activities

At this time, the committee needs to identify station locations and then take those suggestions to
local units of government to see if those identified stations will work out. It should be noted that
none of the station locations decided on by the committees are cast in stone. It could be that
stations may need to be removed, or possibly even added, within a mile or two of where one has
been identified. BRW stated that the
recommended locations were the best consensus on where stations ought to be for analysis. Then
local units of government will decide on preferred location and recommend back to NCDA.

The Chair called a recess at 5:34 p.m. and reconvened the meeting at 5:42 p.m.

5.
