Product Offering Strategy <br /> Industrial Land Issue <br /> The landowners of Elk River Business Park and Elk Path Business Center have indicated <br /> interest in participating in a master development agreement with the EDA for the <br /> development of their industrial/business park property. Staff has sent the revised Contract <br /> for Initial Sale and Development to the landowners' for their consideration. <br /> Business Incubator <br /> LapTwo Technology Corporation and the Semi Annual Incubator Report <br /> There are separate memos regarding these items. <br /> I I. Competitive Strategy <br /> In last month's marketing report, staff provided the EDA with an article on Cambridge's <br /> new business park. More details on the project are provided in the attached Business Journal <br /> article. Cambridge is not considered a key competitor; however, Cambridge and Sartell are <br /> the closest JOBZ zones to Elk River. JOBZ is a state program that provides tax exemptions <br /> to businesses willing to locate and provide jobs in economically depressed areas of the state. <br /> The attached MN Real Estate Journal article provides details on two large development <br /> projects on the corner of Diamond Lake Road and Wilfred Lane in Rogers.
