Jason Wedel, PE <br /> Municipal Senior Project Manager <br /> Jason is a Senior Project Engineer in our Municipal Group. Jason has <br /> proven managerial expertise related to municipal engineering and land <br /> development. He has a verifiable track record for the successful <br /> completion of multi-million dollar projects through contract negotiation, <br /> developing partnerships, and building positive rapport with architects, <br /> engineers, and state and local officials, while maintaining costs. He is <br /> versed in public speaking, administration, financial analysis, project <br /> estimating, resolving complicated entitlement and design problems, <br /> document preparation and site management. <br /> Education: <br /> GENERAL EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science, Civil <br /> Engineering, University of <br /> City Engineering and Public Works <br /> Minnesota, 1995 <br /> Jason was previously the Public Works Director/City Engineer for the City <br /> of Savage. During his tenure at the City of Savage he provided direction Registrations: <br /> and supervision to the Engineering, Street, Utilities, and Parks Minnesota#26768 <br /> Departments (Total of 45 employees). His responsibilities included <br /> oversight of the preparation of plans and specifications for City Memberships: <br /> improvement projects prepared by in-house staff as well as outside American Public Works <br /> consultants. He was responsible for updating information related to MSAS Association <br /> Needs, Annual Mileage Certification, and bridge inspections. He prepared <br /> and reviewed annual budgets for Engineering, Streets, Utilities and Parks <br /> Departments. He also updated the City's 5-year Capital Improvement <br /> Plan as part of the City's budgeting process and provided direction to the <br /> City Council as an active participant in all of the City Council meetings. <br /> Jason also coordinated the design and financing of new projects with <br /> State and County officials to facilitate joint projects. He successfully <br /> applied for and received both State and Federal funding for bridge and <br /> major roadway improvements. He also has experience as a member of <br /> the Technical Advisory Committee to the Met Council Transportation <br /> Advisory Board which included selecting projects for the Surface <br /> Transportation Program (STP) and the Transportation Enhancements <br /> Program (TEP). <br /> Land Development <br /> Jason's also has experience working for a national home building <br /> company performing land acquisition and development which provides <br /> him with a unique perspective and understanding of how to work with <br /> developers in constructing projects that work well for both the City and <br /> the developer. Jason's experience also provided opportunities to work <br /> on projects located within 17 different cities and observe how the various <br /> cities work with developers. This information provides tremendous <br /> insight on what types of things cities can do to ensure the desired end <br /> result is achieved. <br /> A <br /> WSB <br />
