Elk River it
Municipal Utilities
13069 Orono Parkway . P.O. Box 430
Elk River, NIN 55330 -0430
The City of Elk River
Attn: Jeremy Barnhart
13065 Orono Parkway
Elk River, MN 55330
Re: Kliever Lake Fields 4th Addition
Jeremy,
Phone: 763.441.2020
Fax: 763.441.8099
wwwAkriverutilities.com
June 10, 2013
In response to the May 24, 2013, letter from Pioneer Engineering regarding the proposed
Kliever Lake Fields 4`h Addition, I've spoken with Paul Cherne the engineer and
achieved resolution on the following issues:
As an alternative to requiring the water mains to be looped, ERMU would agree
to transfer ownership of the 6" water mains beneath the private driveways to the
home association. ERMU would retain the ownership of the shutoff valve to the
water main on 1801h Avenue and Fillmore Drive. The water main beneath 1801h
Avenue and Fillmore Drive would remain an asset of ERMU. With this transfer,
a loop connecting the water main under private driveway E to the water main on
County Road 12 would not be required. The hydrants at the ends of private
driveways A, C, E /F, G, and H would be transferred in ownership to the home
association. The home association would take responsibility for the mitigation of
stagnant water if that issue should occur.
2. In regards to the 6" water mains being abandoned under the private driveways B
and D, the hydrants currently at the end of those mains would need to be relocated
to within ROW on 1801h Avenue reusing the existing shutoff valve.
If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Best Regards:
` A-,---,
Troy Adams, P.E.
General Manager
Cc: David Berg — ERMU Water Superintendent
file
P® f E 1 E i 1 t
Reg" PUW Power ProvKler P o W E R F o T o S F R V E
