The seminar was a huge success with greater <br /> participation than prior years. We will be hosting again in 2014 at Lions Park as we have reached our <br /> capacity in the City Chamber room. <br /> I will be attending a seminar on the Mount Simon Aquifer on May 22, 2013. Some of the topics <br /> include; local costs associated with the treatment of polluted groundwater,trends in local water usage and <br /> their long-term cumulative regional impacts,and etc. I have attached the agenda and a map of the Mt. <br /> • Simon Aquifer. <br /> On May 18, 2013,the Water Department will be putting on a free Water Education Seminar for <br /> our customers to attend. This is the first time in several years that something like this has been done. The <br /> seminar will mainly focus on irrigation conservation through landscaping and smart irrigation systems.
