This is over four times as many locate tickets as last month. <br /> Jeff continues using the infrared camera in the field to see if there are any hot spots on our <br /> system that need immediate attention. <br /> In April, the Security Systems Department had a total of 82 phone contacts, 13 systems quoted, <br /> eight system sales made, 10 installs completed, 27 service calls and 13 personal visits. <br /> Meter Technicians continue with the meter reading, power bill, substation checks and off-peak <br /> issues. They continue to change out the three phase meters to radio read meters. <br /> The power plant staff did WEB deflections of the generators. WEB deflection helps determine <br /> the state of crankshaft alignment. Even a few mils variation is indicative of trouble. <br /> Manufacturers recommend checking this periodically, and re-aligning the shaft if the deflection <br /> is over a given limit. Our alignment was within the normal limits. <br /> Steve completes the building safety checks and engine run reports to GRE.
