Skate Park Discussion
Planner/Park Planner, Chris Leeseberg shared that staff had met with the members of the
Skate Park Committee to discuss locations of the skate park and the members have no issues
with the park being move to another location. Many feel it would actually be better to have
it moved to a new location. An area of about an acre is needed and asked commissioners for
their thoughts and ideas regarding a new location. Orono Park had been discussed in the
past and there is concern with this location in reference to the new destination playground.
Successful parks have two common qualities associated with them; one is ease of access and
tow,high visibility.
