Below you will find a summary of City requirements: <br /> Connection rior tot the system becoming® er jgR@ : <br /> Step 1: Property owner/contractor must apply for a sewer/water conversion permit at City Hall <br /> Submit payment with application (2012 fees are as follows): <br /> Sewer Permit/Surcharge $75.00 + $5.00 <br /> Water Permit/Surcharge $75.00 + $5.00 <br /> City Surcharge $7.50 <br /> TOTAL $167.50 <br /> Step 2: Complete work, have connection inspected by Dayton Public Works—763-427-3224 <br /> Ste 3: When the connection to the system is made, the property owner/contractor must apply for <br /> another sewer/water connection permit, purchase a water meter, apply for a septic abandonment <br /> permit and submit payment for the City and Metropolitan Council Sewer Access Charges (SAC). The <br /> 2011 fees are as follows: <br /> Water Meter (5/8') $326.64 <br /> City Sewer Access Charge (SAC) $605.00 <br /> Metro Sewer Access Charge (SAC) $2435.00 <br /> Septic Abandonment/Surcharge .$0.00 <br /> TOTAL $3,366.64 <br /> 01-01-2013: TOTAL C ST FOR PE - $3,534.14 <br /> Please call Dayton Public Works when the connection is complete for a final inspection. Tfany work <br /> must be performed inside your home,a separate plumbing permit must be applied for by <br /> a licensed contractor. <br /> Step 4: If you do not intend to keep your well for irrigation purposes, or because it is not <br /> operational, you must contact the Minnesota Department of Health at 651-201-4600 for sealing <br /> information. <br /> Please review the City's detail plate with information on making the connection. This will be helpful <br /> for you and your contractor(s). Please have your contractor(s) review the detail plate for the City's <br /> connection requirements. <br /> A licensed pipe layer is required for the connection from the home to the service and if you need any <br /> new internal plumbing, a licensed master plumber is required.
