The official groundbreaking for the project occurred in April 2012, and the wastewater <br /> facility should be fully operational by mid-December 2012. <br /> Liberty Paper Incorporated (LPI) has operated a state-of-the-art paper mill in Becker, Minn. since <br /> 1995. A part of the Liberty Diversified International family, LPI is very active in the local community <br /> and employs approximately 135 people. <br /> Big Lake Northstar Commuter Rail Station Area Attracts $3+ million Housing Investment <br /> iv <br /> Duffy Development is 100% leased up at The Crossing at Big Lake Station, a 33-unit affordable <br /> housing complex, which opened in the summer of 2012. <br /> Also opening in 2012, Cherrywood of Big Lake, provides skilled nursing in a small, 10-resident <br /> house focused on giving each resident maximum choice in how they live each day. The first <br /> of three phases will open three lots for development, ranging in size from 1 — 10 acres. <br /> Improvements include two new streets, municipal trunk sewer and water facilities, storm sewer <br /> management systems and site grading. <br /> The property is zoned light industrial with retail, commercial, light industrial and warehouse use <br /> permitted.
