Agreement for First Responder Training and Medical <br /> Direction Oversight Services <br /> This Agreement is made and entered into this 8t" day of October 2012 by and <br /> between Allina Health Emergency Medical Services ("AHEMS"), a division of Allina <br /> Hospitals and Clinics, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation having principal office at 167 <br /> Grand Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55102 and the City of Elk River ("First Responder") <br /> having principal offices at 13065 Orono Parkway N.W., Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Witnesseth <br /> WHEREAS, First Responder is a governmental entity engaged in providing <br /> emergency response, care and treatment services to patients within its geographical <br /> service area; and <br /> WHEREAS, Allina Health EMS is the ALS and/or BLS service provider in First <br /> Responder's service area and has the personnel and resources to provide medical <br /> direction services to First Responder; and <br /> WHEREAS, First Responder wishes to utilize those medical direction services in <br /> the manner and to the extent set forth in this Agreement and the attachments hereto; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1 . Medical Direction. Allina Health EMS hereby agrees to provide medical direction <br /> to First Responders throughout the term of this Agreement. For the purposes of <br /> this Agreement, medical direction services will include: <br /> a. Training for the fire department as specified in Exhibit A. <br /> b. Annual physician skills review for the fire department. <br /> C. Use of Allina Health EMS protocols. <br /> d. Medical direction oversight will be provided by the Allina Health EMS <br /> Medical Director and such other physicians as Allina Health EMS may <br /> contract with from time-to-time for such services. <br /> 2. Contract Administration. Communications between the First Responder and <br /> Allina Health EMS shall be coordinated though the paramedic coordinator of <br /> Allina Health EMS assigned to First Responder.
