March 5, 2012 <br />The City Of Elk River <br />Attn: Jeremy Barnhart, AICP <br />13065 Orono Parkway <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br />Re: Elk River Lutheran Church Conditional Use Permit Application -Staff <br />Comments <br />Dear Jeremy, <br />We have received and reviewed your staff comments from the February 8t" Site <br />Plan Review Committee meeting, please see the following comments and <br />clarifications. <br />Engineering <br />1) The disturbance on Main Street shall be limited to a pit to connect a <br />directionally drilled service line to the watermain. The disturbance pit shall be <br />diamond shaped and be limited to 10'x10'. The surface shall be restored to <br />match the existing typical section of Main Street. Main Street is a recently <br />constructed road, and reducing the impact is vital. <br />THE WATER SERVICE HAS BEEN REVISED TO INDICATE <br />INSTALLATION BY DIRECTIONAL DRILLING. NOTES DETAILING THE <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STREET DISTURBANCE AND <br />RESTORATION HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE PLANS. SEE REVISED <br />SHEET C-2. <br />All traffic control layouts shall be in accordance with the most current version of <br />the MNDOT Temporary Traffic Control Zone Layouts Field Manual and are the <br />responsibility of the applicant. <br />NOTES DETAILING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL REQUIREMENTS HAVE <br />BEEN ADDED TO THE PLANS.
