Number of parking stalls, existing and additional <br />The current bank facility/site has approximately 30 parking spaces on the Main <br />Street and river side levels. City ordinance would require 122 spaces. <br />Of the 30 existing on-site parking spaces, eight spaces would be eliminated to <br />provide adrop-off and pick-up lane as well as a play area for children. The <br />purpose of the drop-off lane is to create a safer parking program for visitors to the <br />site. It also addresses ADA loading zone requirements. <br />The Master Plan shows approximately 22 spaces available on site, leaving the <br />need for an additional 100 parking spaces. The primary time for the majority of the <br />church's parking needs will be on Sunday morning. The downtown commercial <br />parking needs are typically at their lowest when the church's needs are highest. <br />The church has contacted Dare's Funeral Home regarding the use of their lot on <br />Sunday mornings which has approximately 45 parking spaces. Dare's and the <br />church are working on a document to finalize this agreement. <br />The church has also contacted the 1St National Bank regarding the use of their lot <br />on Sunday mornings which has approximately 30 parking spaces. The bank and <br />the church are working on a document to finalize this agreement. <br />Is there proposed screening of the site? <br />Existing parking is being utilized and no screening is planned. <br />Proposed building materials <br />How do they comply with applicable design standards? <br />The master plan would utilize a brick matching the existing building's brick in size <br />and color. To complement the brick and other downtown materials the existing <br />white stucco surfaces will be softened by painting abeige/tan color. The <br />incorporation of stonework is intended to complement and tie into the plaza space. <br />Signage <br />The Master Plan shows the church name on the two walls facing Main Street. The <br />signage would be in the form of individual letters attached to the brick surfaces. <br />The size would comply with City Ordinance. A secondary individual letter sign of a <br />smaller size is shown on the east wall facing the public parking lot. <br />Is there outdoor storage <br />The Master Plan calls only for the reuse of the existing recycle center located on <br />the lower level.
