City of Elk River Volunteer of the Month-Mayor Dietz Mayor Dietz presented the Volunteer of the Month award to Jim Boyle. He provided Mr. Boyle's service background as follows: ^ organized and chaired the Elk River Independence Day celebration ^ participated in Operation ER ^ held community forum for a community center that eventually became the push for a YMCA, member of organizing committee that brought the YMCA to Elk River, in his third year as a chair member of the YMCA Board ^ member of Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Directors, assist with Taste of Elk River, charter member of Club's new Strive Program ^ member of Early Childhood Coalition ^ member of Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. 7.1.
