8.4. The Contractor must demolish and remove the building and foundation <br />completely and remove all debris from the Property. The Contractor should avoid <br />damaging sidewalks, streets, curbs, pavements, utilities, structures or any other property <br />either on or adjacent to the Property that are not scheduled for removal. The Contractor <br />must repair at its own expense any damage caused to these items during demolition. The <br />Contractor may use such methods as required to complete the work subject to the <br />limitations of governing regulations. <br />8.5. The Contractor must demolish footings, foundation walls, tunnels and other <br />below-grade structures and remove from the Property. <br />Section 9. Debris Control <br />9.1. The Contractor must keep the Property free of extraneous debris. <br />9.2. The Contractor must prohibit the overloading of trucks in order to prevent spillage <br />on streets and properties. <br />9.3. The Contractor must have a sweeping and clean-up program to prevent <br />deposition, release and disbursal of soils and debris onto paved surfaces. <br />Section 10. Disposal <br />10.1. The Contractor must remove from the Property all debris, rubbish, Hazardous <br />Materials and other materials resulting from the demolition operations. <br />10.2. The Contractor must transport the materials from the Property and legally dispose <br />of them off-site in accordance with governing regulations at its own expense. <br />Section 11. Earthwork <br />11.1. After completing all abatement and demolition activities, the Contractor must <br />rough grade the Property to approximately 6-inches below adjacent finished <br />grades using clean aggregate fill, taper the edges of all excavated areas to <br />minimize slope of 2 to 1 and keep soil disturbance to a minimum. All fill shall be <br />compacted to 95% standard proctor density. The edges of the final rough <br />grading shall be tapered to match the adjacent surfaces. <br />Section 12. Excusable Delays <br />12.1. The following circumstances, and only these circumstances, will, at the HRA's <br />discretion, be considered legitimate cause for a change in the commencement or <br />completion time periods specified in Section 4 of this Contract: <br />6 <br />
