Commissioner Rohlf questioned whether the joint meeting would be in lieu of a regular <br />HPC meeting. Ms. Haug confirmed that it would be in lieu rather than in addition to a <br />regular meeting. She will coordinate the meeting. <br />3) Water Tower Update <br />Ms. Haug stated that she attended the Utilities Commission meeting on Tuesday, December <br />14s' to ask for their support to nominate the water tower as one of the 10 most endangered <br />structures. There is a giant opportunity involved (up to $2,500). If the water tower is listed, <br />the tower would be eligible fox more giant funds. <br />91exa Mcdowell is working with Richard Rothaus on the nomination to the National <br />Register and will have that done by the end of the month. She will give us a copy of the <br />nomination. <br />4) Other <br />February 7`h will be a special meeting. Discussion followed regarding whether to have a <br />meeting in January (20a') ox move to March (17) fox the next meeting. <br />Commissioner Konietzko commented that he'd like to start the year by reconciling the Oral <br />Histories and whether the schools axe engaged. He proposed the January meeting. Chair <br />Lindberg agreed that regarding the oral histories, sooner is better. <br />Discussion followed regarding time, funds for transcription, interviewers and qualifications. <br />Mr. Brubaker commented that an oral history is a directed conversation by the interviewer <br />within certain parameters. He prefers digital recorders now.
