MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL ELK RIVER <br />HERITAGE PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br />Thursday, December 16, 2010 <br />Members present: Debra Mortensen, Chair Lance Lindberg, Stephen Rohlf and Mark <br />Konietzko <br />Members absent: Kristin Hazris <br />Staff Present: Environmental Administrator, Rebecca Haug <br />Environmental Technician, Nicki Blake-Bradley <br />Others Present: Michael Brubaker, Sherburne History Centex <br />1~Meeting called to Order: <br />Elk River Heritage Preservation Commission was called to order at 6:08 p.m. by Chair <br />Lindberg. <br />Ms. Haug requested the addition of approval of the agenda and minutes to the agenda. <br />MOTION TO AMEND THE AGENDA WITH THE CHANGES DISCUSSED BY <br />COMMISSIONER ROHLF AND SECOND BY COMMISSIONER MORTENSEN. <br />ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED. <br />Ms. Haug requested the removal (postponement) of the oral history update from the agenda. <br />MOTION TO AMEND THE AGENDA TO STRIKE THE ORAL HISTORY UPDATE <br />AGENDA ITEM BY COMMISSIONER ROHLF AND SECOND BY <br />COMMISSIONER KONIETZKO. ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED. <br />MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES BY COMMISSIONER KONIETZKO AND <br />SECOND BY COMMISSIONER MORTENSEN. ALL IN FAVOR MOTION <br />CARRIED. COMMISSIONER ROHLF ABSTAINED DUE TO HIS ABSENCE FROM <br />THE MEETING. <br />21 Toint Meeting <br />Ms. Haug handed out a tax credit sheet and questioned whether the HPC would like to have <br />a joint meeting with the EDA (Economic Development Authority) on February 7`s ox March <br />7`" at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. A question was posed xegazding the reason fox a <br />joint meeting. Ms. Haug clarified that it would be for better understanding and support. It <br />would be beneficial to have a representative come in and talk about the tax credit to both <br />commissions at once. <br />
