The Initiative Foundation is expected to provide: <br />• Up to $15,000 in start-up funding. <br />• One-on-one staff technical assistance. <br />• Links to statewide networks and resources. <br />• Leadership training in the areas of: <br />° Coalition development and team building <br />° Strategic planning and visioning <br />° Project implementation and coalition sustainability <br />A grant of up to $15,000 will be available to each team. These funds may be used to help pay apart-time <br />team coordinator; to offset travel expenses to and from training sessions; to cover the cost of facilitators, <br />food and facilities for community meetings; and to implement goals identified in the coalition's planned <br />goals. Ineligible expenses include capital expenditures, supplanting current program funding and projects <br />that do not assist with the planning process or support the goals of the coalition's plan. <br />REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible to apply for the Early Childhood Community Coalition Partnership, a <br />community must have successfully completed the Initiative Foundation's Healthy Community Partnership <br />(HCP) program, and identified the development of children, youth or families as a key goal area in their <br />integrated community plan.
