He also <br />noted that the City of Ramsey now has 2 ,000 square feet of industrial <br />projects currently under construction, makes 1997 the second most <br />active year ever, with more than onths remaining in the year. <br /> Duane Jones, ~itchen Center president, started <br />the company as D & E Cabinet Millwork, Inc. in his garage in <br />1966. By 1969, the business grown the garage, basement, and an <br />addition, and a separate building was constructed. <br /> In 1978, to better serve customers, sales was separated from <br />manufacturing and AcCent Home & Kitchen Center, Inc. was introduced. <br />AcCent was located in Anoka and primarily operated as a retail sales <br />location for products produced by D & E Cabinets and Millwork, <br /> Continued on Page 3 <br /> <br />IT 1997, , rME 12, NO. 7 <br /> <br /> ARE INVITED TO DISCUSS <br /> IDEAS FOR RAMS//EY'S <br /> COMPREHENSIEE P~AN~ <br /> The City is pmnning several <br /> opportunities for citizen mt during the process <br /> of developing Comprehensive Plan. <br /> The first an infomaational meeting <br /> at City Hall on' September 4 at 7 p.m. <br /> The secon, pportunity is a "visioning" <br /> Ramsey Elementary School on <br /> September 18 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. <br /> Members of the public are welcome at <br /> and there is no charge. In order <br /> ensure adequate seating, materials and <br /> refreshments, you are encouraged to <br /> pre-register for the September 18 meeting by <br /> calling 427-1410 and giving your name. Your <br /> name tag will be waiting for you when you arrive <br /> at the meeting and you won't need to wait in <br /> line to register. <br /> Municipalities in the seven-county <br /> .h~tr. opolitan area are required to adopt and <br /> imi~ment Comprehensive Plans to ensure <br /> though~ul, long-term planning to deal with land <br /> use, trarl~ortation needs, and environmental <br /> protection.
