City Administrator/ <br />Finance Director <br /> <br />October 27, 1997 <br /> <br />Special Assessment Reapportionments <br />and Special Assessment Resolutions <br /> <br />There are several special assessment items which need Council approval at <br />Monday's meeting so that the assessments may be certified to the county for <br />collection in 1998. The first item is simply a reapportionment of assessments <br />which have already been levied. The remaining items are assessment <br />resolutions which require Council approval, but do not require a public <br />hearing because the developers have initiated the improvements and have <br />waived their rights to a public hearing and to object to the assessment <br />amounts. These items simply require Council adoption of the attached <br />resolutions. <br /> <br />Country Cross 4th Special Assessment Reapportionment - Earlier this year the <br />Riverview and Macon improvements were assessed to two outlots in Country <br />Crossing 3ra Addition. These outlots have since been platted into Country <br />Crossing 4th Addition. According to Minnesota Statute, the City Council <br />must approve the reapportionment of the assessments to the new lots in <br />Country Crossing 4th Addition. Assessments totaling $235,300 against <br />Outlots A and B of Country Crossing 3ra will be assessed to Lots 1-8, Block 1 <br />and Lots 1-16, Block 2 of Country Crossing 4th. <br /> <br />Approve Special Assessment Resolutions <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />Cherrywood Hills has not been assessed for trunk water and sewer. <br />Attached is a resolution to approve trunk water and sewer <br />assessments of $3,800 per acre to the 46 lots in Cherrywood Hills. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />Trunk water and sewer assessments of $3,800 per acre also need to be <br />assessed to Elk Run (Cottages of Elk River development). <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
