The EDA's alternate area analysis and
action plan will be presented to the Strategic Planning Task Force on
February 5, 1997. It is anticipated at that time the Strategic Planning
Task Force will also review recommendations on an action plan made
by the HtLA regarding the number 4 priority issue - Downtown
Redevelopment.

Upon completion by the Task Force, the strategic plan will be
presented for review and modification, if necessary, and acceptance by
the City Council. Staff will then begin to initiate implementation of
the action steps as identified within the plan.

EDA members are asked to bring with them to this meeting, the map
which was provided in the last packet identifying the eight alternate
areas.

\\elkriver\sys\shrdoc\eda\meetings\stgcpln.doc
