City Staff, including the Fire Marshall, have recommended that the water <br />service connection and a fire hydrant be connected to the watermain along Jackson Avenue. The <br />applicant objects, due to costs. <br />The recommendation is being made because in the event of a fire, the 8' main along School Street may <br />not be sufficient to serve School street developments and the building. Using the 16' main along Jackson <br />helps spread the demand to two areas. <br />B. Signs. In addition to the freestanding signs noted about, the building proposes a number of wall signs. <br />The ordinance permits 1 wall sign, not to exceed 96 square feet. Any signage less than 4 square feet is not <br />regulated, nor is signage located inside a window.
