THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.4. <br /> <br />Request by the City of Elk River for Ordinance Amendment Relatin.q to Accessory <br />Structures, Public Hearing Case No. OA 97-15 <br /> <br />City Planner Steve Ach indicated that the City of Elk River is requesting an <br />ordinance amendment relating to maximum square footage allowed for <br />accessory structures and the architectural standards applicable to accessory <br />structures. He explained that the issue relates to accessory structures on large <br />lots located within the urban service area. <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman opened the public hearing. There being no one for or against <br />the matter, Mayor DuJtsman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />PIQnning Commission Representative Thompson indicated that the Planning <br />Commission had a concern regarding forewarning the public that the <br />accessory structure may need to be removed when the property is developed. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 97-26 AMENDING <br />SECTION 900.20 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING ACCESSORY <br /> <br /> <br />
