Both Rich Czech, ice arena manager, and the Personnel Committee are recommending that this position be made full time effective September 1, 1997, as this is the start of the 1997-1998 ice season. The Committee further recommends that the position have a point ranking of 58 points, Pay Grade 7. The committee also recommends that Case receive an increase from $8.00 per hour to $10.05 per hour, Step C, effective September 1, 1997. Each of the other positions are part time seasonal with hours that vary considerably. Since the pay for these positions does not currently fall with in the parameters of the city's pay plan, the Committee is recommending that the pay be set for the 1997-1998 season as requested by the Ice Arena Manager. When the 1998 pay plan is presented to the Council for approval, adjustments will be made to accommodate the part time arena positions. At that time point rankings will also be determined.
