The Downtown will be filled with
activities for young and old. There will be local artists, representing all artistic fields,
displaying their art in booths along Jackson Avenue and Main Street.
The Riverfront stage will again be filled with performances from 10:00 AM to 9:00
PM. This year we will be supporting and highlighting local talent with mast of our
performers being home grown.
Our Community Tent will include both activities for children as well as an
opportunity for people to sample the offerings of many of our talented local arts groups
including modern dance, ballet,` theater, photography clubs and choral groups for men,
women, boys and girls. Other community and cultural groups will also take part.
Staying local, the food offerings available at ArtSoup will be provided by the local
eateries, set up throughout the festival with booths and tables.
We expect between 2,000 to 4,000 people will be drawn to the downtown area
for this event, providing an excellent chance to showcase the businesses in the area as
well as the improvements that have been made and the opportunities that still exist
downtown.
In order to support this event, the Arts Alliance has been asking local businesses
and organizations to help fund ArtSoup by being sponsors of one or more of the many
events that will be happening that day. Businesses can also support the festival by
purchasing ads in the festival program.
We are asking that the Council of Elk River help to ensure ArtSoup 2011 is a
rousing success by also being a sponsor at the $2,000 level. This will be acknowledged
in the festival program and also on a placard at the event.
Thnankyoun L
N~wt~ -~`-'~
David Raymond, Chairman
The Arts Alliance
Art Classes Arts in Harmony ArtSoup Gallery & Gift Shop Performance Series Strings for Youth
