Project Area2 <br />The watermain in Project Area2 consists of 10-inch and 12-inch watermainand isin <br />satisfactory condition. <br />IV.PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS <br />The proposed improvements includestreetreconstruction,sanitary sewerreconstruction, <br />watermain reconstruction, and the addition of a storm sewer system.The proposed improvements <br />are shown in Figures 6-9in the appendixand are described in detail below. <br />A.STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />Project Area 1 <br />nd <br />Railroad Drive, 2Street from Railroad Drive to Evans Avenue, and Evans Avenue from <br />nd <br />2Street to Railroad Driveare proposed as two-lane, 30 mph roadwaysconsisting of a <br />26-foot wide bituminous surfacewith B618 concrete curb and gutter. This width provides <br />for two 11-foot wide traffic lanes and two feet of reaction distance to the curb.The <br />proposedresidentialpavement section would consist of 3 1/2-inches of bituminous <br />pavement with 8-inches of aggregate base,as shown in Figure No. 6.This pavement <br />section will be reviewed duringthe final design when soil borings along the project length <br />have beencompleted. <br />nd <br />Gates Avenue, Freeport Avenue and Evans Avenue from Main Street to 2Street are all <br />nd <br />proposed to be reconstructed to a 36-footwidth to allow for on-street parking.2Street, <br />from Evans Avenue to the east cul-de-sac is proposed to have a 32-foot wide surface to <br />match the existing width of that street section. <br />Gates Avenue and Railroad Drive are proposedto be reconstructed with a pavement <br />sections consisting of 5-inches of bituminous pavement with 8-inches of aggregate base. <br />This heavier9-ton section is proposed to carry the heaviertruck traffic anticipated along <br />9R13.103354 <br />April 2011 <br />
