Business Plan Summary for the Pizza Ranch in Elk River, MN <br />1. Current Restaurant Industry Analysis -Restaurant Industry Sales Turn Positive in 2011 After <br />Three Tough Years <br />2. Location/Design/Interior Layout -Currently, Pizza Ranch Inc. has reviewed the location and <br />determined the location to be highly suitable for a Pizza Ranch. Elk River sits at the <br />convergence of three State Highways 10, 169 & 101. Each highway has approximately <br />40,000 daily traffic count. Elk Rivers population is 24,539 and within a 10 mile radius the <br />population is 135,386. The location, design, and interior layout are approved by Pizza Ranch <br />Inc. All branding elements are strictly monitored and are outlined in the Brand Standards <br />Manual. See Appendix C for projected exterior elevations & interior layouts. Pizza Ranch, Inc. <br />provides these based on your location specifications. <br />3. Restaurant Ownership & Management -Pizza Ranch, Inc. provides direction and job <br />descriptions for the management team to be assembled for each Pizza Ranch location. General <br />Manager, Assistant General Manager, Kitchen Manager and Guest Services Manager positions <br />make up the management team. The Elk River store will be owned by father and son of <br />Gerald H. McDonald and Robert G. McDonald. The stores GM will be Robert and, he <br />along with the help of Pizza Ranch corporate will hire key management positions. The <br />state of the current economy should allow us to hire experienced and competent workers at <br />great value. <br />4. Training -Management & Staff- All management positions are required to complete 1-4 week <br />training sessions conducted at Pizza Ranch, Inc. These managers will be trained on how to train <br />store level staff members who are cross-trained in several positions to ensure we have a staff that <br />is capable of meeting the demands of our customers. Pizza Ranch, Inc. provides pre-opening <br />store level staff training and training support during the first two weeks after store opening. <br />Quality Food -The Pizza Ranch's standards for providing quality food are outlined in the <br />operations standards manuals (Manual for Kitchen Operations & Handbook for Excellent Ranch <br />Operations) and through support of Franchise Consultants. Proper Equipment maintenance <br />outlined in the standards manual is important in providing consistency for the chain. Franchise <br />consultant support is given to follow-up and support the food quality in every Pizza Ranch. Pizza <br />Ranch's current menu is provided later in this document. <br />6. Consistency -The consistency of products and services is important at the Pizza Ranch. We <br />recognize that the Pizza Ranch needs to meet the needs of every customer in regard to <br />cleanliness, service, and quality food. The Manual for Kitchen Operations & Handbook for <br />Excellent Ranch Operations can be provided on request. <br />
