Call Meetin.q To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Duitsman. <br /> <br />2. Consider A.qenda <br /> <br />Item 4.1. to be considered after Item 4.2. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 7/28/97 COUNCIL AGENDA <br />AS AMENDED. C:OUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider 7/21/97 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNC:ILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 7/21/97 CITY C:OUNCIL <br />MINUTES. C:OUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />4-0. <br /> <br />Councilmember Farber arrived at this time (6:12 p.m.) <br /> <br />4.2. <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Resolution Settin.q Date, Amount, and Purpose of <br />Referendum <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers indicated that that due to complexity and <br />multiplicity of issues that must be dealt with for an outdoor pool, the Park and <br />Recreation Commission has recommended the pool not be included in the park <br />referendum. Dana Anderson, Park and Recreation Commission Chair, reviewed <br />the components of the referendum and proposed costs of each component. <br />Council discussion was held regarding whether the money allocated in the <br />proposal would have to be spent exactly as outlined in the proposal. Questions <br />were raised regarding whether the dollars proposed are being properly allocated <br />for certain components such as Woodland Trails Park and the Cass Fields. The <br />City Administrator indicated that the specific improvements would be presented <br />to the Council for discussion prior to the funds being spent. <br /> <br /> <br />
