City Council Minutes <br />June 2,1997 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />6.1. <br /> <br />6.2. <br /> <br />6.3. <br /> <br />6.4. <br /> <br />The City Engineer, Terrry Maurer, reviewed the Macon Street and Riverview Drive <br />project (Agenda Item 6.6.). <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 97-48, <br />APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS IN THE MA'n'ER OF THE MACON STREET AND RIVERVIEW DRIVE <br />IMPROVEMENT OF 1997. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />The City Engineer updated the Council on the status of the Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant expansion project and reviewed his memo on this topic dated <br />5/27/97. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 29 CHANGE ORDERS AS PRESENTED. <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Pat reviewed the Capital Improvement Project finances and status of MSA funds. <br />Concern was expressed over sufficient MSA funds being available for all the <br />desired projects. The Council indicated that it would decide the MSA funding <br />priorities at a future meeting. <br /> <br />The City Council indicated its support for the draft 1997 Capital Improvement <br />Program and directed staff to continue the past practice of bringing ClP issues <br />forward throughout the year for Council review. It was indicated that another <br />special CIP meeting for 1997 activities was not necessary. <br /> <br />Cancel 6/9/97 Special City Council Meetinq IDecision Resources Survey) <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO CANCEL THE JUNE 9, 1997 SPECIAL CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Call Special City Council Meetinq for 6/16/97 at 5:00 p.m. (Decision Resources <br />Survey) <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />FOR JUNE 16, 1997 AT 5:00 P.M. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Consider Continuin.q City Council Meetinq to Attend the Tuesday, June 3, 1997 <br />Ice Arena Facility Tour (6:00 p.m.) - Part of the Ice Arena Commission Meetinq <br /> <br />No action taken on this item.
