The planned unit development as it was originally presented by <br />Derrick Investment was to construct 15 four-unit buildings for a total of 59 <br />dwelling units and one clubhouse unit. The project was proposed as an adult <br />community providing housing opportunities for active adults 55 and older. <br />Throughout the public hearing process, the residency requirement of 55 years <br />and older was mentioned and was finally approved by the Planning <br />Commission and City Council with the understanding and condition this <br />project would be for residents 55 years and older. <br /> <br />Recently, the developer has suggested an interest in removing the residency <br />requirement. The request at this time is to amend the planned unit <br />development agreement to allow no restrictions on the residency <br />requirements for the project.
