Terry Maurer recommended <br />that the assessments for properties receiving only sanitary sewer and water <br />benefit be reduced from $7,500 to $7,275 and properties receiving sanitary sewer, <br />water, storm sewer, and street benefit be reduced from $12,500 to $12,150. He <br />indicated that the assessment hearing would be scheduled for March 3, 1997. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 97-11, A RESOLUTION <br />DETERMINING ASSESSED COST OF IMPROVEMENT AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF <br />PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLL IN THE MA'FrER OF THE ORONO LAKE 3RD ADDITION <br />IMPROVEMENT OF 1997. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Tax Increment Financinq District No. 1 6/Public Hearinq <br /> <br />Director of Economic Development Paul Steinman informed the Council that the <br />City Council is required to hold a public hearing to consider public review and <br />comment on the creation of Tax Increment Financing District No. 16. Paul <br />Steinman indicated that the HRA purchased three parcels of property at the <br />corner of King and Main in downtown Elk River with the anticipation of <br />demolishing the buildings and reselling the site.
