<br />Memo to the Mayor and City CouncillZC 03-02 <br />June 16, 2003 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />At the March 25, 2003 meeting, the Commission tabled this request for further discussion. The <br />issue was further discussed at the April 8, 2003 workshop meeting. At that meeting, the <br />Commission agreed that the areas currently zoned Rle and subdivided would be rezoned to Rlc, <br />and vacant areas would be zoned RId which has a minimum lot area of 14,000 square feet. Staff <br />was also directed to develop a set of standards for consideration if a residential PUD were <br />submitted by an applicant. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended unanimously that the City Council rezone the <br />properties as recommended by staff. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff and the Planning Commission recommend that the City Council approve the zoning map <br />amendment to rezone properties currently zoned Rle, Single Family to R1c and Rid, Single <br />Family as illustrated on the attached map. <br /> <br />S:\PLANNlNG\Case Files\2003\ZC 03-02 City of Elk River\6 1603 cc memo.doc <br />
