Procurement for Final Design $1257000 <br />Analyze and develop appropriate contract packages for final design including but not limited to <br />commuter rail stations, maintenance and layover facilities, track and signal improvements, and <br />rolling stock. Requests for proposals including scope of work for final design of selected contract <br />packages would be developed. <br /> <br />2. Vehicle/Equipment Procurement and Specifications $627500 <br />Outline specifications for rolling stock have been prepared as part of Preliminary Engineering. <br />Considerable experience in the specification and acquisition of locomotives and passenger <br />coaches has been gained over the last ten years as new commuter rail projects have come on line. <br />The Northstar Project proposes to review and evaluate the current outline specifications, evaluate <br />various acquisition scenarios, and develop specifications and an acquisition strategy for <br />locomotives and coaches for the Northstar Project. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
