This informational signage shall not exceed four (4) square feet per sign in sign area. Plannine Commission Action The applicant suggested they would prefer placing a planter at the end of the drive lane, to prevent vehicles from driving into the pedestrian circulation as they exit the building, instead of adding additional bollards as staff had suggested. The Planning Commission agreed with this request. The applicant was asked how many vehicles they anticipate will be using the drive-thru daily. They believed initially that 5-10 vehicles a day will use it, but once established, it would generate about 25 vehicles. The Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the request to the City Council with conditions recommended by staff and amended per the applicant's request. Recommendation Staff and the Planning Commission recommend that the City Council approve the conditional use permit request for Coborn's Incorporated to construct a canopy covered drive-up pharmacy window with the following conditions: o All comments of the City Engineer are addressed. A planter shall be placed at the end of the drive-thru lane to prevent vehicles from driving into the pedestrian circulation as they exit the building. The planter and plantings shall be of a height and density as not to impede the sight lines of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Extend north end of the curb island to align with north edge of the existing building. Signage reading, "Do Not Enter - Pharmacy Drive-Thru Exit" shall be placed on backside of proposed Yield sign.
