• employees will receive the cost of living increase as approved by the <br />City Council. <br />• The part time liquor store clerks pay step is determined by the <br />number of hours that the employee has worked. Following <br />approval of the new Pay Plan, a revised schedule of hours has been <br />determined and steps will apply according to the hours as outlined <br />in Item 9 of Exhibit 1. <br />• Each Wastewater Treatment Plant operator is paid according to the <br />license held by the operator. The operators will be paid according <br />to the steps as outlined in Item 13 of the 1996 Compensation Plan. <br />Effective January 1, 1995, the City Council approved a revised <br />vacation schedule for the police union and changed the non -union <br />schedule to match the union schedule. Because the city's personnel <br />ordinance has not been amended to include the new schedule, for <br />clarification, the vacation schedule has been added as Exhibit 3 to <br />the 1996 pay resolution. <br />• Also in accordance with previous Council discussion, the city's <br />insurance contribution will increase at the same time that the <br />• insurance premiums increase. The current contribution is $295 per <br />month. That contribution level will stay in place through June. On <br />July 1, the contribution is projected to increase to $310 per month. <br />This is the same increase that is included in the police union <br />contract. <br />• The executive director of the EDA and HRA receives additional <br />compensation for serving in that capacity. The annual <br />compensation has been increased by a three percent cost of living <br />adjustment. If the Council approves a different COLA, the <br />executive director's compensation would change accordingly. <br />• In 1995, the City Council approved the addition of a section to the <br />pay resolution which provides time and one -half pay for liquor store <br />employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week for working on <br />certain holidays. In 1995, only one part time employee qualified to <br />receive additional pay under this section. Attached is a memo from <br />Fritz Dolejs regarding holiday pay for part time employees. Fritz is <br />requesting that the 20 hour minimum be deleted so that this <br />section applies to all part time employees. <br />• A section has been added to include the practice of paying liquor <br />employees time and one half for taking inventory on a Sunday or a <br />Holiday. <br />
