Box 490 <br />Elk River, MN 55330-0490 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />ZANE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />FEASIBILITY STUDY <br /> <br />Dear Council Members: <br /> <br />Attached is a copy of the Zane Street Feasibility Study ordered by the City Council in <br />December 2001. This feasibility study looks at the extension from Mississippi Ridge <br />development to the Zane Street cul-de-sac and the elimination of the existing TH 10 <br />access at Zane Street near the Americlnn. In addition, the feasibility study looks at the <br />realignment of Zane Street between Saxon Motors and NAPA Auto Parts in an effort to <br />get all of the Saxon Motors property on one side of Zane Street. Also, the feasibility <br />study discusses the potential extension of lateral sanitary sewer and trunk watermain to <br />serve the businesses and vacant properties in the area. <br /> <br />Attached is a resolution for the City Council's consideration that accepts the feasibility <br />study and orders the public headng to be held on February 25, 2002. We would <br />recommend adoption of the resolution by the City Council. <br /> <br />If you have any questions regarding the feasibility study or this project in general, I will <br />be in attendance at your January 28, 2002, City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Howard R.
