RESOLUTION NO. 25-8 <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR 2026 ELECTRIC CABLE INVENTORY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Elk River Municipal Utilities 2026 <br />electric cable inventory, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to State <br />law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisements: <br />46,750 feet of 1/0 15 KV Primary URD, TRXLPE <br />Contractor <br />Wire <br />Manufacturer <br />Total Firm <br />Price <br />Total Escalated <br />Price <br />Delivery <br />Border States <br />Southwire <br />- <br />$153,915.68 <br />6 weeks <br />Border States <br />Prysmian <br />$167,821.28 <br />$159,498.85 <br />23-25 weeks <br />Resco <br />Prysmian <br />- <br />$151,531.24 <br />18-20 weeks <br />Wesco <br />CME <br />$173,442.50 <br />$168,767.50 <br />25 weeks <br />WHEREAS, the advertisement for bids expressly noted that ERMU would consider both <br />price and promptness of delivery in determining the lowest responsible bidder; <br />WHEREAS, it appears that for 46,750 feet of 1/0 15 KV Primary URD, TRXLPE, Rural <br />Electric Supply Cooperative of Moorhead, MN is the lowest responsible bidder for <br />TRXLPE at $151,531.24, complying with the minimum qualifications for price and <br />delivery time; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends awarding the contract for 1/0 15 KV Primary URD, TRXLPE <br />to Rural Electric Supply Cooperaive of Moorhead, Minnesota. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br />ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES, BASED UPON THE FOREGOING RECITALS <br />INCORPORATED HEREIN, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the Chair and General Manager are authorized and directed to execute <br />a contract with Rural Electric Supply Cooperative for the bid of 46,750 feet of <br />1/0 15 KV Primary URD, TRXLPE, in the amount of $151,531.24. <br />This Resolution Passed and Adopted this 12th day of November 2025. <br />
