City of Elk River <br />Planning Commission <br />Resolution 2S - 02 <br />A Resolution of the Planning Commission of the City of Elk River Finding <br />that the Purchase of Property is Consistent with the Elk River <br />Comprehensive Plan <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River ("City') has agreed to terms with Free Grace United <br />Church ("Seller") for the purchase of approximately half of PID 75-00134-2200 <br />("Property'); and <br />WHEREAS, the City will purchase the Property for development of the relocated fire <br />station one, which is an allowed use within the C-2 zoning district; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Comprehensive Plan guides the Property for <br />Neighborhood Commercial uses, which includes government services like fire stations; and <br />WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. 462.356, subd. 2 requires the Planning Commission to review the <br />City's proposed purchase of property for consistency with the Comprehensive Municipal <br />Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk <br />River, Minnesota, as follows: The purchase of the Property described above is consistent <br />with the Comprehensive Municipal Plan. <br />Passed and adopted this 23`d day of September 2 5. <br />Perry Beis&, Planning Commission Chair <br />ATTEST:i <br />Tina Allard, City Clerk <br />reNEeti INATUREE] <br />
