Special Meeting of the Elk River <br />Economic Development Authority <br />Together Elk River Subcommittee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Monday, April 17, 2023 <br />Members Present: Jennifer Wagner, Charlie Blesener, and Debbi Rydberg <br />Members Absent: None <br />Staff Present: Economic Development Director Brent O'Neil, Economic Development Specialist Joshua <br />Mollan, and Senior Communications Coordinator Starr Sorheim <br />I . Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic Development Authority <br />Together Elk River Subcommittee was called to order at 5:05 p.m. by Jennifer Wagner. <br />2. Consider Agenda <br />Moved by Charlie and seconded by Debbi to approve the agenda. Motion carried 3-0. <br />3. Consent Agenda <br />Moved by Debbi and seconded by Charlie to approve: <br />3.1 March 20, 2023 Meeting Minutes <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br />4. General Business <br />4.1 Billboard Content Plan <br />Josh advised that the billboard is live with the "lanes closed" message. Josh has reached out to Franklin to <br />swap art to match the schedule and ensure the correct billboards will be published as requested. Josh shared <br />the billboard content calendar as well as the three new billboard pieces. <br />The committee was in favor of no changes to the "Thursdays in Downtown Elk River" piece. <br />Debbi suggested using photos from Highway 169 businesses as those are the ones impacted by 169 <br />Redefine. <br />Jennifer suggested using the colored Together Elk River logo as well as updating the saying to "We're still <br />open!" <br />Brent suggested using multiple photos to be rotated while this piece is published. <br />The committee was in favor of no changes to the "Together Elk River: General" piece. <br />Jennifer suggested making these pieces available for businesses as original and resized formats. <br />
