<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 8, 1915 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of Village Council was held at the offices of C.F. Fiman Pres on Wednesday Dec <br />8, 1915 <br /> <br />Present – C.F. Fiman Pres, E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br />Visitors R.A. Calif, C.S. Wheaton, J deBooy, Andrew Davis <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion duly made seconded and declared carried were <br />allowed. <br /> <br />Davis Bros goods for street 7.91 <br />Hamlet and Gould hauling engine 2.00 <br />Standard Oil Co gas 31.28 <br />Geo Marchineau blacksmith 6.80 <br />E.L. Clark cleaning .50 <br />2 membership in Assn 6.00 <br /> <br />The G.N. Ry presented a corrected copy of contract and blue print showing location of ground to <br />be covered by the Village of Elk River with crushed granite in return for such services the said G.N. <br />Ry agrees to transport without charge to the Village of Elk River 25 car loads of crushed granite <br />from St. Cloud mine. <br /> <br />On motion of E.E. Scott Trustee seconded by W.F. Chadbourne Clerk the above propostion was <br />unanimously carried and the President of Council and Clerk were instructed to sign contract and <br />return to G.N. Ry immediately with seal of Village attached. Some discussion was had by visitors in <br />regard to calling a Special Election to vote on proposition to issue bonds for water works by no <br />action was taken by Council.
