<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 13, 1916 <br /> <br />A Regular meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman on Wednesday Dec 13, <br />1916 <br /> <br />Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, E.J. Keegan F.M. Plank Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br /> <br />Visitors George Tyler Co Atty <br />R.D. Roach and Fred Ayers <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Pres at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed. <br /> <br />John Hailey cleaning out sewer at Creamery 10.75 <br />Elk River Power and Light Co lamp repaired 7.70 <br />W.R. Smith paint for bridge 1.40 <br />Elk River Lumber Co 48.96 <br /> <br />R.D. Roach and Fred Ayers asked for an extension of street lighting service on Line St requiring 3 <br />extra lights. The matter was taken under consideration by Council for future decision. <br /> <br />Geo Tyler Co Atty having been requested to attend this meeting to give some advice in regard to the <br />matter pertaining to drainage done to the Bridge over Elk River by reason of the Elk River Power <br />and Light Co Dam during the high water of April 1916 after some discussion it was moved and <br />seconded that a statement of actual cost of repairing south abutment be prepared and put into the <br />hands of said Geo Tyler Co Atty to be presented to F.D. Waterman Pres of the Elk River Power <br />and Lights Co and find out his intentions in regard to paying said expense and report at the next <br />meeting of said council. <br /> <br />Motion put and declared carried. <br /> <br />No further business adjourned. <br />W.F.
