<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 13, 1916 <br /> <br />Regular meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman Pres on Wednesday Sept <br />13, 1916 <br /> <br />Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, E.J. Keegan, E.E. Scott, F.M. Plank Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, <br />Clerk. <br />Visitors Andrew Davis and T.H. Daly representing the Sherburne CO Agricultural Society. <br /> <br />Andrew Davis asking that the Village donate one hundred and fifty dollars and fixing up street <br />leading to said fair grounds and on motion of F.M. Plank seconded by E.J. Keegan the roll was <br />called on the following resolution resolved that the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars be <br />appropriated from the Village Treasurery to assist the Sherburne Co. Fair. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />C.F. Fiman aye <br />F.M. Plank aye <br />E.E. Scott aye <br />E.J. Keegan aye <br />W.F. Chadbourne aye <br /> <br />Pres declared vote unanimous and clerk ordered to draw warrant for same. <br /> <br />The following resolution was offered. <br /> <br />Resolved that the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars 3500.00 be assessed as taxes for <br />revenue fund for 1917 on motion of F.M. Plank sec by E.J. Keegan. <br /> <br />Roll was called on above resolution. Roll call <br />C.F. Fiman aye <br />F.M. Plank aye <br />E.E. Scott aye <br />E.J. Keegan aye <br />W.F. Chadbourne aye <br /> <br />On motion duly made seconded and declared carried by Pres the Pres appointed E.E. Scott, E.J. <br />Keegan and W.F. Chadbourne a com. To see about grading Oak Street to fair grounds same to be <br />done immediately. <br /> <br />On motion duly made sec and declared carried the following bill were allowed. <br /> <br />B.L.
